A Rosie Place

Resource Details

A Rosie Place for Children is Indiana‘s only licensed, not-for-profit, specialty hospital dedicated exclusively to serving the growing number of families with children who are medically fragile. Children who are medically fragile require a skilled level of care to meet their everyday needs. A Rosie Place serves all 92 Indiana counties. Situated on five beautiful acres in South Bend, Indiana, our home is warm, spacious, and colorful featuring nature-inspired themes. A Rosie Place for Children is a home away from home where there are special activities for each child and relationships are built.
Children who are medically fragile come to A Rosie Place for up to 10 nights at a time for respite stays. Whether a day stay, overnight or longer stay, during this time, parents are given the gift of time to go on a date night, experience fun activities with their other children or enjoy much needed rest. We also host special events throughout the year, families (parents, fragile children, and siblings) are given opportunities to connect with others in a supportive environment and central location.

A Rosie Place is a Medicaid Waiver Respite Nursing provider but also offers charitable stays for those not yet approved for a Medicaid Waiver. Respite is provided at A Rosie Place and not in the child's home.
