AHEAD is the premiere professional association committed to full participation of persons with disabilities in post-secondary education. This professional membership organization is for individuals involved in the development of policy and in the provision of quality services to meet the needs of persons with disabilities involved in all areas of higher education. AHEAD houses the The National Center for College Students with Disabilities (NCCSD), a federally-funded project designed to offer a one-stop-shop of information, training, assistance and referral to:
All future and current college students with disabilities, and their families;
College and university personnel, including administrators, faculty and disability services providers; and
Researchers and policymakers who need to know about disability services at campuses in the United States.
