The Autism Wandering Awareness Alerts Response and Education (AWAARE) Collaboration is a working group of six national non-profit autism organizations whose mission is to prevent autism-related wandering incidents and deaths. A variety of resources are available from tracking devices to door chimes to service dogs. Close adult supervision, along with a combination of security and safety measures and tools can work to prevent a wandering emergency.
