Child Advocacy Center of Warren County

The Child Advocacy Center of Warren County (CACWC) was established in 2008 as a result of a community task force, led by Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel, wanting to ensure that abused children did not fall through the cracks of the service delivery system.
The task force identified the many benefits of a children's advocacy center after interaction with CARE House in neighboring Montgomery County. Dayton Children's Hospital (DCH) serves as the fiscal umbrella of CARE House. Warren County created a similar partnership with DCH and asked for guidance in establishing the Child Advocacy Center of Warren County.
The CACWC's first home was in the Dayton Children's Hospital Specialty Care Center in Franklin, Ohio. After seven years at this location, the CACWC needed more space to meet the needs of the children being served. With partnership from the Warren County Board of Commissioners, a new larger, centralized location was secured to house the CACWC. Community supporters raised the funds to renovate the 3,000 square foot space in Lebanon to be more accessible to families throughout the county and provide the expansion of onsite services offered.
Today, the CACWC offers support and hope to children and families in the community and serves hundreds of victims of child abuse each year.
