Children's Advantage

Resource Details

Children's Advantage offers child and adolescent mental health services to individuals 4 years of age and older. Services are individualized in order to meet the specific and unique needs of every child and his/her family, and are flexible to meet the changing needs and circumstances of the child and his/her family, and include psychiatry, counseling, case management, school-based services, groups, and AOD treatment.



Evidence-based interventions are available, including:

  • Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy

  • Child-centered play therapy

  • Trauma-focused integrated play therapy

  • Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Trauma-focused coping

  • Integrative treatment of complex trauma for children

  • Safety, mentoring, advocacy, recovery, and treatment (SMART)

  • Seeking Safety for Adolescents

  • Parent-child interaction therapy

  • Child and family traumatic stress intervention

  • Combined parent-child cognitive behavioral therapy

  • Child-adult relationship enhancement (CARE)

  • Nurturing parent program for parents and their school-age children

  • Stepped care trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy

  • Advocacy and learning club

  • Alternatives for family: A cognitive behavioral therapy

  • Trauma-adapted family connections

  • Child Witness to Violence program

  • Cognitive behavioral intervention for trauma in schools

  • Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT)

  • SITCAP

  • SPARCS

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
