Disability License Plates

The DMV can issue these plates to any person for having a disability that limits or impairs the ability to walk as certified by his/her health care provider. Disability plates may also be issued to a vehicle that is altered to accommodate a disabled individual or to a bus that transports disabled individuals. these plates permit the vehicles to be parked in parking spaces marked with the international symbol of access for person with disabilities.
