The mission of the ERIE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY is the same as that of the Department of Housing and Urban Development: To promote adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination.
Goals and Objectives
The Housing Authority is committed to providing a high quality of service in carrying out its mission by:
Assisting low to moderate income individuals, families, seniors and special needs populations to achieve unmet needs, free from discrimination.

Providing and promoting housing and service opportunities for eligible families in a manner which promotes serviceability, economy, efficiency, and stability, along with the social well-being of these families.
Providing opportunities for conserving and upgrading affordable housing stock, improving infrastructure, and stabilizing and creating desirable neighborhoods.
The mission shall be accomplished by a fiscally responsible, ethical, and professional organization, committed to excellence in public service.
