Most kids have tantrums occasionally. But if they happen a lot, they could be signs of a problem, especially in a child older than eight. Other causes for concern: If the outbursts are dangerous to the child or others, or if they are causing problems at home, at school or with other kids. Tantrums can make kids feel out of control and bad about themselves.
A lot of anger in children is usually a sign that they are frustrated or in distress. It’s important to find the cause. Anger issues in kids can be caused by conditions like autism, ADHD, anxiety or learning disorders. Kids with these conditions often have meltdowns around school or homework or when they don’t want to do something.
