Leia's Kids

For nearly a decade, Leia’s Kids has been on the front lines—championing children and young adults navigating pediatric cancer diagnoses while supporting their parents and siblings.

• Financial Grants

  • Miscellaneous costs of cancer quickly add up, and many families are left with no way to pay for them. We help parents cover things like unexpected travel for treatment, including clinical trials, and childcare.

• Mental Health Retreats

  • We offer all-inclusive retreats to help cancer patients, ages 17-24, understand the “new normal” of living life with cancer. Attendees can meet other young adults who have the same struggles; they learn how to cope with suffering and changes in their lives and take ownership of their struggles so they can keep living well regardless of their diagnosis.

  • Each year Leia’s Kids sponsors 20 families across North Texas with homemade Christmas dinners and gifts.
