Victim/Witness Assistance advocates:
Inform victims of their rights
Notify victims of court dates/continuances
Accompany victims to court proceedings
Assist victims in filing for compensation through the Ohio Attorney General's Victims of Crime Compensation Program
Provide referrals for other services
Provide VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) referrals and registration
Assist victims with victim impact statements
Provide short term crisis intervention and employer intervention
Facilitate an Empowerment Support Group for victims of Domestic Violence
