Montgomery County CASA Program
Resource Details
Court appointed CASA (court appointed special advocates) volunteers watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children. For many children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives, advocating on the child's behalf to achieve a permanent living situation. CASA volunteers are assigned to a child for the duration of their case, and serve as a consistent, stable presence in a child's life.,
CASA is dedicated to the principle that every child is entitled to have a permanent home and family and to be free from abuse and neglect. CASA acts as the representative of the abused, neglected and/or dependent child in the Montgomery County Juvenile Court system and serves as a catalyst to facilitate support services and to achieve a permanent living situation through advocacy on behalf of the child.
