The North Carolina Health Insurance Premium Payment (NC HIPP) program helps eligible people with Medicaid keep their private employer-sponsored health insurance. If paying for that insurance costs less than paying for Medicaid services alone, the program will pay the monthly insurance premium for the entire family. This can help people keep the health coverage they already have while also saving money for the Medicaid program.
