Needy Basket offers three different programs, an Emergency Food Program, a Christmas Basket Program, and a Migrant Workers Program.
The Emergency Food Program is a year-around effort to provide food and personal items to families needing emergency assistance due to layoff, illness, disability, or insufficient family income. During the summer when school lunches are not available, extra food items are provided to families with school-age children and support is provided to Tipp-Monroe Community Services for the "Lunch On Us" food program.
The Christmas Basket program provides a complete family Christmas dinner and also includes new toys for pre-teens, (with support from the Toys for Tots Program), gift vouchers for teens, and clothing vouchers graciously donated by The Clothesline.
The Migrant Workers Program is a special program to provide food and personal items to newly-arriving workers in our service area.
