The New York State (NYS) Kinship Navigator is a free, statewide program that provides information, referrals, and advocacy for grandparents, relatives, and family friends raising children who are not biologically their own. It helps informal (non-foster) caregivers in all of New York’s 62 counties to find financial assistance, legal information, and local support services.
