PARACHUTE: Butler County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) trains community volunteers to speak for the best interest of children (ages birth -18) who have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment or domestic violence. PARACHUTE recruits and trains adult community volunteers as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to advocate for a child’s best interests. A CASA volunteer’s purpose is to speak up for the best interests of children in court to help the children be safe while in foster care, recommend services to help the children heal from their trauma, have success in academic endeavors and move to live in safe, permanent and nurturing homes.
