The organization Prayers from Maria is dedicated to funding global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for the deadliest childhood brain tumors known as gliomas as well as raising public awareness about gliomas and bringing hope to children and their families who deal with the hardships of this disease.
The Prayers from Maria Foundation first planted a Sunflower field in 2013 to gracefully draw attention to the lack of funding for childhood cancer. The field was inspired by the memory and spirit of Maria McNamara, planted as a way to love and honor the courageous children who are battling cancer and those we have lost.
Sunflower fields are now available in Avon and Cedar Point, Ohio.
