Richland County Prosecutor's Office

Richland County Victim Services provides a victims advocacy services aimed at supporting victims of crimes. Richland County services include: Notification of information regarding a case, attending any hearing where the defendant or juvenile offender is present, assistance with preparation for court hearings including employer attendance support, assistance with restitution for financial loss or damage as a result of the crime, aid in making a written statement to be presented to the Court for consideration prior to sentencing, and appear at defendant's sentencing and give oral impact statement to the court. In addition, Richland County Victim Services provides, accompanying victims to court, explaining court procedures, case status updates, emergency transportaion to court, referals information for health, safety, counseling, and Ohio victime compensation program.
