The Board Members of Stark County Hunger Task Force believe that in any community, a number of individuals will experience a crisis during their lifetimes, in which they are unable to provide adequate food for themselves and their families. It is our mission to raise funds through the generosity of our neighbors in order to satisfy that basic need.
The Stark County Hunger Task Force (SCHTF) offers financial support to 30 pantries across Stark County. The SCHTF also operates its own food pantry that is available to Stark County residents once a month for a 3-5 day supply of emergency food. The SCHTF pantry is open five days a week thanks to our staff, contracted employees through Mature Services and the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, and many dedicated volunteers who keep it running smoothly.
