Syntero is a non-profit, community behavioral health organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities by providing professional, compassionate behavioral health and social services. The agency provides a wide range of mental health and drug/alcohol outpatient services for all age groups including older adults & the elderly, young children, adolescents, men, women and families. Our Help Me Grow program specifically serves pregnant women and children from birth to age 5 through pre-natal education, home visiting and early intervention. In addition, the Center provides expertise in trauma treatment services to the community.

Clients come with a variety of problems represented by stress and anxiety, depression, drug/alcohol issues, grief and loss, relationship/marital problems and family issues. Syntero is accredited by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, CARF, and the Ohio Department of Mental Health.

A variety of evidence-based interventions are available, including:

  • Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy

  • Trauma-focused integrated play therapy

  • Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Grief and trauma intervention for children

  • Narrative exposure therapy

  • Preschool PTSD treatment

  • Trauma-focused coping

  • Integrative treatment of complex trauma for children

  • Child-parent psychotherapy

  • Child and family traumatic stress intervention

  • Combined parent-child cognitive behavioral therapy

  • Nurturing parent program for parents and their school-age children

  • Stepped care trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy

  • Attachment, regulation, and competency (ARC)

  • Strengthening family coping resources

  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)

  • Trauma systems therapy

  • Mindfulness Intervetnion

  • Art therapy

  • Sand therapy
