The Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) provides specialized wrap around services and victim advocacy to children age birth to 18 years of age that experience child abuse. From a multidisciplinary approach CAC works to ensure that the needs of the child victim and their families assisted on the road to healthy and safety. CAC schedules the child to be interviewed by a trained forensic interviewer to gather details of the suspected abuse. Community partners meet with the family during the appointment and provide instant access to mental health and advocacy services to support them throughout the process. If needed, the CAC will coordinate the child’s forensic medical exam through our onsite Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program.
