The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) consists of two major programmatic components, including the Public Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program and Disability Determination Section. DRS operates the state-federal VR program in compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. The primary goal for all DRS consumers is to become productive, working citizens.
To help people with disabilities achieve their employment goals, DRS is able to provide a variety of necessary and appropriate services to eligible individuals to help them meet their identified employment goal. Services may include vocational counseling and guidance, training, rehabilitation technology, pre-employment transition services, job placement, and more.
