What is Systemic Racism?
Resource Details
Racial injustice is an ongoing problem in the United States which threatens the lives and access of people of color to resources and respect.
Prejudice, discrimination and hate have long permeated society, and systemic racism particularly uses societal systems like the justice system, education, healthcare and others to oppress people of color. It is up to each of us to work to create an equitable, loving and compassionate world in which all people are respected and protected.
You can do something about it. Though there is no one action that will fully address this issue, you can start by learning more and spreading awareness by watching and sharing this video from the National Education Association about institutional racism below. Complete this and other "1 Click" actions brought to you by the Jane Goodall Institute's Roots & Shoots program.
