This document from SWIFT seeks to answer family questions regarding Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and guide teachers to create lessons that recognize how differently every student learns.
When a school uses UDL, teachers set clear goals for all students but may use different ways to help different students meet those goals. Teachers plan their lessons to use different ways of:
Presenting content to students
Seeing what students know and can do
Keeping students interested and involved
